HAUGHTON, LA- Funeral services for Charlotte Santoro Butcher will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Reverend Matthew Long officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to service.
Charlotte was born on January 15, 1955, in Shreveport, LA to Charles and Mary (Matthews) Santoro and passed away May 29, 2021, in Bossier City.
Charlotte was the most caring mother, friend and all around person. She never missed a ball game, wrestling match, performance, or school event. She loved to dance, bowl, shop, play cards and socialize. She worked at Tri-State Oil Tool for over a decade, but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and mom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Joseph and Mary Laverne Matthews Santoro.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, James Butcher; children Holly Butcher, Ph.D. and her wife Kurstie, and Matt Butcher; her brother, Cary Santoro and wife Janine; her sister, Paulette and husband Bossier City Councilman Tommy Harvey; niece, Belinda and husband, LTC (P) Shawn Bault; nephews, Master Sergeant Jason Harvey, USAF, Josh Butcher, Jacob Butcher, Christopher and wife, Brittany Santoro, Brett Butcher, and Ben Butcher; great-nephew, Christian Bault, great-nieces, Kaleigh Timmons, Bella Bault and Kennedy Parks. Charlotte will be deeply missed by a huge extended family of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Courtney Butcher, Christopher Santoro, Brett Butcher, Ben Butcher, Beau Brown, Chance McCollister and Russell Patrick.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the ICU at Willis Knighton Bossier and her caregivers at Pilgrim Manor.
