

Bossier City, LA – Clenard F. Chandler, 92, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2012, after a brief illness. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, February 20, at 10 a.m. at Hill Crest with Bro. Bobby Dye officiating.
Papaw was born to Gerald and Vera Chandler on April 26, 1919 in Hurricane Community in Claiborne Parish. As a young man, he worked in CC Camp. He served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. For 44 years, he worked at Bird & Son Roofing as a mill foreman. He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church.
C.F. and Angie Webb Chandler were married on March 10, 1939, in Arcadia, LA. They enjoyed over 72 wonderful years together. During those years, they enjoyed weekly visits with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Williamson and Agnes Phillips; granddaughter Paige Chandler; daughter-in-law Sherry Chandler.
He is survived by his wife Angie Webb Chandler; sons Dale Chandler, Wade Chandler and wife Felicia of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren Lauren, Natalie, Brooke, and Eric Chandler; great-grandchildren Peyton, Brandon, and Jaden Chandler; brothers Otho and wife Mary, Charles and wife Shirley; sisters Joyce Tawwatters, Loda and husband Elgy Meeks; brother-in-laws J.B. Webb, Ralph Webb, Roy Webb and wife Colleen.
