Clyde was born on May 7, 1935 in Shreveport, LA and entered Heaven on September 27, 2020. He was a longtime resident of Bossier City. After 30 years of service with ABF Freightliners, Clyde retired and enjoyed exploring the country with his wife, Pat, in their motorhome. When they weren't traveling, he enjoyed working on projects around their home and took great pride in sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren. Time spent with his family is what he loved the most. Clyde was a patient and quiet man, slow to anger and a quick friend.
He was preceded in death by his six year old son, Jay Leslie Roberson; parents, Yvonne and Clyde Roberson, Sr.; sister, Janet Dubose; brother, Johnny Roberson; in-laws, Dewy and Elsie Turner; sister in-law, Brenda Bryant and brothers in-law, Jerry Turner and Charles Turner.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat Roberson; daughter, Julie Bickham and her husband Greg; son Jeff Roberson and his wife Heather; grandchildren, Rylie Roberson, Reese Roberson, and Laura Leigh Bickham; sister-in-law, Linda Friday; brother-in-law Michael Turner as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Stillman Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Conner Phipps, Christian Turner, Dylan Turner and Michael Wallette. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stephen Boston, Jimmy Friday, Sonny Bickham, Leroy Faith, Charles Harper, and John Pickering.
The family would like to thank their Sunday school class and church family at First Bossier for all the love and support they have shown.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home will be appreciated.
