Cynthia Mae Lowry was born August 2, 1952, in East Liverpool, OH, and passed away after a short illness September 23, 2022, in Haughton, LA surrounded by her loving family. Prior to her passing, Cynthia was with her husband Michael Lowry for over 40 years.
Cynthia was very caring, and loved her numerous children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much. A coke zero, a hamburger, and spending the day at home with her family was all she ever needed to be happy.
Cindy was a fighter her entire life and despite many severe illnesses over the past two decades, she never let a moment pass without asking her family if they needed anything. She was the toughest and most considerate person we’ve ever known. Cindy loved angels, and now she is now everyone’s guardian angel. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Cindy is preceded in death by her brothers Scott and Edward Prather as well as her parents Mae and George Prather. Also preceding Cindy was her brother-in-law Bobby McQueary and son-in-law Charles Soles.
Left to cherish her memory are: husband, Michael Franklin Lowry; sister, Betty McQueary; children, Bobby (& April) Graham, Catrina Graham Soles, Franklin (& Amanda) Lowry, Josephine (& Wesley Devers) Lowry, and Heidi Lowry. Cindy’s grandchildren who meant the world to her: Casey (& Abigail Anderson) Graham, Carey (& Kaleb) Barthelmess, Josh Graham, Tucker and Delilah Devers, Mason Lowry, and Aoife and Atlas Lowry. Cindy was also fortunate to have great grandchildren: Wade Graham, and Levi and Lucas Barthelmess. Cindy will also be greatly missed by her son-in-law Wesley Devers, sister-in-law Ina Prather, daughter-in-law Amanda Lowry, nieces Sarah Prather, Hope Watterson and her husband Wesley Watterson, Tasha Watterson, and nephews Scott Prather and Skyler McQueary.
Honoring Cindy as pallbearers are Bobby Graham, Franklin Lowry, Wesley Devers, Casey Graham, Josh Graham, and John Nuxoll.
A visitation for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial, Haughton, Louisiana, followed by the funeral 11:00 AM, with Jeff Scott presiding. Interment will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery.
