

Cynthia is preceded in death by parents Cleo Juanita Green Carter and Ed Ben Carter of Coushatta, Louisiana and Albert Ray Target of Frierson, Louisiana, and aunts, uncles, cousins.
Cynthia is survived by aunts, Janet Sue Green and Shirley Ann Green, uncle Lester "Buddy" Green, a brother Cedric Target, sisters, Jeanette Minion, Marsha Carter, and Sharon Carter, sons Demond (Charlisa) Carter and Steven (Shekeena) Carter, a daughter Ariel Benson, grandchildren Tyler Moody Carter, Caleb Carter, Jada Carter, Annalise Carter, and Carter Benson, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, adopted children and friends.
Cynthia was a committed follower of Christ, a knowledgeable and caring nurse with a career spanning over 30 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother to those she birthed and took in, with her proudest accomplishments being those of her children and grandchildren.
Cynthia brought much laughter to those she interacted with and was a source of strength and comfort, always providing assistance, advice, and wisdom freely.
A visitation will be held on August 16th at 9:00am at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana, with funeral services to follow at 10:00am.
Cynthia was a Baptist and a faith filled believer who gifted her children with the foundation of God obtained at Harvest Temple Church of God in Bossier City. Ted Scott, pastor, will officiate the service.
Honorary Pallbearers for Cynthia will be Demond Carter, Steven Carter, Andre Benson, Tyler Moody Carter, Caleb Carter, and Carter Benson.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations sent to the funeral home in the family's name to assist in providing Cynthia with the services she deserves to honor her memory and allow loved ones to say their last goodbyes.
