

Services for Darren Dee Thorne, 43, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Father Pike Thomas. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday October 11, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.
The family will also receive friends following the service at St. Jude Catholic Church.
Darren was born February 27, 1967 in Bossier City, LA. He left this life to be with the Lord Thursday, October 7, 2010. Darren will forever be remembered by his friends and family for his talent as a musician, especially with the guitar. Darren's love for the guitar was only surpassed by his love for his family. He had a natural gift of composing lyrics to music. Darren received many awards and was recognized in several music and guitar magazines during his music career. We will all miss the music and songs he entertained us with for over thirty years. As one of Darren's friends stated " Darren now has First Chair for guitar in Heaven." We will also miss his regular e-mails composed on youtube. He had many hobbies including Guitar, Guitar, Guitar.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Orlan C. Johnson and Thelma Johnson of Bossier City, LA., Oliver Dee Thorne and Baby Raye Thorne of Bossier City, LA; cousin: Mitch Boone and Uncle: Charles Boone.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Son, Taylor Dee Thorne and daughter, Kara D. Thorne, both of Timpson,Texas. His parents Orlie and W. Thorne of Bossier City, LA; brother, David Thorne and wife Tisa of Bossier City, LA.
Aunt and Godmother: Betty Boone of Bossier City, LA. Uncles: Roy Dee Thorne and wife Phyllis of Houston, TX; Randy Thorne and wife Jean of Benton, LA; wife: Lisa; niece and nephew, Wriley and Hayden Thorne, both Bossier City, LA.;
Cousins, Scott Boone, Tonya Osterhoff, Sheri Thorne, Laurie Thorne and Roy Dee Thorne, Jr.. As well as (Best Friend of Mankind) JoJo.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Gatti, Brian K. Wooten, Greg LeGrand, Jon Blunt, Steve Osterhoff, and Mark Logan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Boone and Mike Smith.
Special appreciation goes to all the friends and family who came together in our time of need. We also would like to thank the Bossier City Fire Dept. for the professional EMS provided as well as the staff and Doctors of Willis Knighton Bossier ICU for their compassionate and professional care for our loved one.
Darren we will love you and miss you forever. "Until" we see you again, rest in the loving arms of Jesus.
