David entered the Air Force after graduating high school and remained enlisted for 20 years. He was a B52 aircraft mechanic. He did a tour in Vietnam as well as other locations. David retired as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed football, fishing and working on his property.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael David Harris; parents, Edward and Maudie Harris; six sisters and three brothers.
David is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Robbie Jo Harris; daughters, Cindy Williams and husband Nick, Crystal Bowman and Pamela Harris; grandchildren, Candi Bloxom, Todd Williams and wife Heather, Ashley Hale and husband Lee, B.J. Rankin, Eric Williams, Morgan Williams, Steven Wood, Misty Wood and Jeff Wood and wife Alecia; and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nick Williams, Eric Williams, B.J. Rankin, Lee Hale, Steven Wood and Jeff Wood. Honorary pallbearer will be Todd Williams.
Services to celebrate David's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Scott Shirley officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
