

David Brian Herman, 62, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on July 6, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on November 17, 1960 in Sacramento, California to the late Benjamin and Barbara Harnum Herman. David had a long career at Gordon, Inc. for forty-three years. David had a passion for all motorsports, fishing, duck hunting, and LSU sports. He also was a racecar driver at Boothill Speedway back in the early 1980’s. David loved racing in Gladewater, Texas at the annual Fred Lobster races. His son and grandson enjoyed this passion with him. David loved his wife who he called his Louise.
David was preceded in passing by his parents, three brothers: Henry, Benjamin “Benny”, and Jimmy Paul.
Left to cherish David’s wonderful memory are his beloved wife of ten years, Suzanne Louise Herman; three sons: Joseph Brian Herman (Courtney), Tyler Wyatt Herman, Tony Gerbine (Breanna); two daughter, Megan Renee Herman, Summer Golden (Brandon); four brothers: John (Toyia), Kerry (Christi), Keith (Karen), Bill, one sister Sue Lynn, nine grandchildren: Cory, Abby, Wyatt, Blake, Lily, Trey, Austyn, Sydney, Caroline; along with extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Willis Knighton Cancer Center and the doctors and nurses at Willis Knighton North.
