Dennis Wayne Helms

Funeral services for Dennis Wayne Helms, 64, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday March 14, 2011 at the Fellowship United Methodist Church in Bossier City, with Rev. David Melville officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. Monday, at the Smackover Cemetery in Smackover, AR. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Mr. Helms entered into rest March 11, 2011 in Bossier City. He was a former resident of Mesquite, TX; a retired Employment Specialist with the Texas Workforce Commission, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a baptized member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Linda Helms; five children, Sherry Miller and husband Mark,

Terrie Perez and husband Raul, Jr., David W. Helms and wife Whitney, Leah Lambka and husband Alan, Ashley Ramsey and husband John; nine grandchildren, Brandon and David Riley, Victoria and Abigail Perez, Caleb and Carter Helms, Casey, Noah and Elijah Lambka.

Pallbearers will be Mark Miller, Alan Lambka, Raul Perez, John Ramsey, Brandon Riley, and David Riley.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN; 38101, or to the Fellowship United Methodist Church, 4750 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City, LA; 71112.
