Doris Elizabeth Reeves

Shreveport, LA

Funeral services will be held for Doris Reeves on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Kenny Joyner, First Baptist Bossier, will be officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Doris was born in Buckner, AR on March 22, 1923, and was married to Bert Reeves for 52 years. She was a member of First Baptist Bossier, where she was active in Diamond set; she especially enjoyed caring for the babies during Sunday worship. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted Christian, wife and loving mother.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bert Lee Reeves and her parents, Ben and Ruth Eddy.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Sandi Baugh and husband Sam of Shreveport, LA, Mary Reeves and husband Eric Fountain of Natchitoches, LA, granddaughter, Megan Baugh Smith and husband Nick of O’Fallon, MO, and her only sister, Mary Reeves McCommon, of Texarkana, AR.
