Doris M. Thompson

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Doris was born on February 4, 1928 in Ft. Leavenworth, KS and passed away June 21, 2021 in Shreveport, LA. She was a longtime Bossier resident. She worked at the Base Exchange (BX) at Barksdale and was a member of the Eastern Star Magnolia Chapter 27.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. and Mary B. Miller; husband, James Robert Thompson, Sr. and son, James Robert "Jimmy" Thompson, Jr. and brothers, George, Sammy, Roy, James and David Miller.

Doris is survived by her nieces and nephews, Pam Miller, Mary Catherine Kinter and husband Roger Alan, Anita Miller, Donna Miller and Roy Miller, III as well as great nephews, James Michael Kinter and wife Lori and David Mitchell Kinter and wife Crystal.
