She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband
Clifton, her brother Buddy Porter, and her son Clifton Johnson Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy (Bill), Mike (Lori), and Don (Toni); grandchildren Jessica, David, Christy, Trey, Jay, Chelsea, Renee, and Phillip. Along with 23 great-grandchildren.
In 1951 she married the love of her life and spent many years supporting Clifton’s military career in the U.S Air Force where they were able to travel the country with each other and their children.
She was a loyal cashier at Woolco until the birth of her grandchildren, then she became a full time loving Mammaw. In her free time she was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed reading. In addition she enjoyed fishing and camping trips with the family, along with many family gatherings throughout the years.
Everyone knew visiting Mammaw’s house meant finding a well-stocked supply of candy waiting in the bedroom and a dose of southern sass. It was a sweet treat and her company that everyone looked forward to.
Honoring Mrs. Dorothy as pallbearers are David Johnson, Jay Johnson, Trey Johnson, Kain Johnson, Jarrett Pinnix and Duane Allen.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bristol Hospice and the wonderful staff at Brownlee Community Care Center.
