Duo O Camozzi
March 14, 1925 – April 12, 2019
Magnolia, AR – Mrs. Duo O. Camozzi, 94, went to meet her Lord and Savior Friday, April 12, 2019 after battling a lengthy illness. A Grave Side Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Mausoleum, with Harrell Shelton, officiating.
“Dio” was born to James and Lillian Angel in Walker Creek, AR on Saturday, March 14, 1925. At age 18, Duo moved to San Francisco, CA to work in the Shipyards, where her sister was also working. While there she met a good looking young Sailor by the name of Walter Camozzi. Mr. Camozzi was in the U.S. Navy. Soon the sweethearts were married and though they settled in San Francisco, they bought a home on Lake Shasta.
Mrs. Camozzi carved out a career in Sales, traveling Sunny California, opening up accounts in the Paper Industry. She was quite the pioneer, as she was the only traveling female Account Representative for many years within the industry and paved the way for many women to enter years later. Walter and Duo loved to travel and had numerous journeys together. Duo loved to sew, and fish. Later in life, and without children of their own, Walter and Duo relocated to Bossier City, LA in order to be closer to their beautiful nieces and their respective families. The couple joined Airline Baptist Church, where Duo still retained her membership up until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Louis Angel and Lillian Barnett Angel; her beloved husband of sixty years, Walter Camozzi, Jr.; her pampered feline, Ci Ci; and her holy-terror and protector, Dee Dee. Left to cherish her memories are her adoring nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and all their families. She will live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Airline Baptist Church.
