Rich served in the United States Air Force for over 30 years as an in flight refueler and boom operator. He fought in the Vietnam War and provided support during Desert Shield. Throughout his 30 year long career he garnered numerous medals including Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and many other awards and accolades. In his free time Rich loved to play racquetball, tell jokes and spend time with his family raising cattle. He enjoyed helping people get back on their feet, giving a helping hand to those in need. Rich loved his Central Assembly of God church family and most importantly he loved his wife Brenda.
Rich joins in Heaven his wife, Brenda Richardson. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Paige Clark, and her husband, Bob Clark, and Terri Flowers; brother, Daniel Richardson; grandchildren Stuart Flowers, Joshua Byars, Sydney Flowers, Rachael Cousatte, Courtney Patton; great grandchildren Austin Cousatte, Averie Cousatte, Ember Steinbach, River Patton and Emery Byars.
Services honoring the life of Rich will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 beginning at 2pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to services Saturday from 1pm until 2pm. Interment will be held immediately after service at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Honoring Rich as pallbearers will be Joshua Byars, Haewon Jeong, Dustin Cousatte and Michael Patton.
In lieu of flowers donations in Rich's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
