

SHREVEPORT, LA-Services for Estis Lee Dean, 85, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Cloud officiating on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Estis was born on March 21, 1929 in Winnfield, Louisiana and at 85 years old his Savior Jesus Christ took him to heaven after a lengthy illness on September 18, 2014. He graduated from Bossier City High School and joined the Navy Reserve. Later in life he founded Magnolia Meat Company where he was president for 52 years. Estis was a member of North Highland Methodist Church, a 32nd degree mason, a member of the Scottish, and a Shriner.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Osie Dean Sr. and Moese Franks Dean; three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Annette Rosalie Dean; brother-in-law, Joe Rosalee; daughter, Linda Dean Weldon and husband Rodney; three grandchildren , Paul Craig, Karla and Belen Balanco and Karol and Reverend David Cloud and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie English, Kenneth English, Felcie English, Mac Hargrove, Floyd King, Trent Manshack, and Trevor Manshack. Honorary pallbearer is Steve Hammontree.
