Born in Colorado, Texas, Eva Pearl was the last remaining of her ten siblings, carrying with her the memories, strength, and legacy of an entire generation. Though not the youngest, she outlived them all, holding onto their stories and traditions with pride.
Before beginning her work career, Eva Pearl was a devoted stay-at-home mother who made certain her family shared home-cooked meals around the table. She believed that family time, a warm meal, and being together were the foundation of a strong home—and she lived that belief every day.
Eva Pearl worked for Business Services for several years before beginning her long, well-loved career as a Teller at Louisiana Downs, where she greeted guests with her warm smile and outgoing nature. She became a beloved, familiar face—friendly, quick-witted, and always ready to share a laugh or story.
At home, her kitchen was the heart of everything. She shared her recipes generously but followed them precisely herself, measuring every pinch and teaspoon with care. She faithfully kept her starter fed, and her meals brought comfort, tradition, and togetherness to everyone who gathered around her table.
Eva Pearl was also an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church well into her nineties. She loved worshipping with her church family and took great joy in singing those old hymns loudly— even if she was a little off key. Her voice, full of heart and conviction, was a sound her family will never forget.
She stayed active and independent, attending Curves regularly, and she never hesitated to say exactly what she felt—often punctuated with her favorite, “I’m pooped.”
She is survived by her three children: Ronald Henry, Gary Henry (Debbie), and Debbie Page; her 13 grandchildren: Tori Carr (Chris), Stacy Henry (Chris), Angie Stafford (Stacey), John Page (MaryAnn), Clifton Garrett (Kasia), Derek Henry (Hallye), David Page (Coley), Calli Lorant (Colby), Matt Page (Ale), Amy Page, Ryan Henry (Alix), Matt Henry (Jamie), and Ragan Henry
She also leaves behind her 21 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her humor, her cooking, her wisdom, and her unwavering love.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mill Salley, her mother, Tessie Eva Middleton, her daughter Donna Garrett, her son-in-law Mike Page, her grandson Michael Page, and her ten siblings.
To honor Pearl’s lifelong love and devotion to her family, the family has named the following grandsons & grandson-in-laws as pallbearers: Chris Carr, Clifton Garrett, Derek Henry, Matthew Henry, Ragan Henry, Ryan Henry, Colby Lorant, David Page, John Page, Matthew Page and Stacey Stafford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Youth Program, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 27025 Kanis Road, Little Rock, AR 72223 or to the organization of their choice.
A celebration of her life will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 US-80, Haughton, LA Visitation at 1:00PM, Service to follow at December 20, 2025 at 2:00PM.
Her legacy is simple and beautiful: faith, laughter, love, and the comfort of a warm kitchen. She was a devoted mother, Granny, and friend—and she will be missed beyond measure.
