Jean was a lady of many talents. She greatly enjoyed quilting. She loved giving to others and making floral arrangements for parties, weddings, and numerous special occasions. She always felt blessed in her work, as she loved her job with the tourist bureau, which, among many things also allowed for her traveling and meeting new people. Additionally, she loved her job with her other work family, at Ayuda. Then came the joy and pride, of relaxing and spending time with her family and her pup, Nikko. Jean so loved the Lord, and always continued her spiritual growth and going to church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Claree Davis; her brother, Samuel Davis, and maternal grandmother, Rebecca E. Miller.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Sabrina Kellum and husband, Tom Kellum of Bossier City, LA; son, Samuel Speed and wife, Coleen Speed of Ruston, LA; her grandchildren Kristin Speed and JoAnne Vasquez, of Bossier City, LA, Genesis, Myles, and Samariah Speed, of Ruston, LA; greatgrandchildren, Madison, Brookelyn, Isaiah, and K'Mya, each of Bossier City, LA, and soon to arrive, precious baby Aubri. Others remaining that were dear to Jean, are a host of extended family and many wonderful friends. Last, but not least, she leaves her beloved pet, Nikko.
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness."
