Evelyn Brown Wallace

Minden, LA

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Evelyn Wallace on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dan Lay, Jr., Associate Pastor, Trinity Heights Baptist Church, and Rev. Ray Wallace will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Evelyn was very involved in missions, mission trips, and church activities at North Acres Baptist Church in Minden. She was a very devoted pastor’s wife for 29 years. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends. She will be rejoicing in heaven this Christmas with the rest of her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Brown, mother, Omeo Brown and husband, Rev. Charles Wallace.

She is survived by daughters, Judy Lay and husband Dan of Shreveport, LA, Jennifer Pixley and husband Wes of Bossier City, LA, Renee Emory and husband David of Dixie Inn, LA; brother, Jim Brown and wife Halda of Doyline, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Alexis Isbell and husband Mark of Caldwell, TX, Charles Lay and wife Stephanie of Arlington, TX, Heather Pearson and husband Jordan of Ruston, LA, Hannah Pixley of Bossier City, LA, Haley Orr, and Lauren Emory of Dixie Inn, LA; great grandchildren: Elijah and Sara Jo Isbell, Emma and Marshall Lay, Dylan, Alyssa, Ryan Orr and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a large extended family.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Charles Lay, Jordan Pearson, Mark Isbell, Brad Orr, Stephen Wallace, and Jim Brown, Jr.
