Faye Johnston Johnston Pruitt

Memorial services for Mrs. Faye Pruitt will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy Pierce, pastor emeritus, Cypress Baptist Church officiating. Special memories will also be shared by members of the family.

Mrs. Pruitt was born June 17, 1929 In Spalling, Nebraska to parents Ocia Olia (Moore) and James Orlan Johnston and passed away January 1, 2014 in Shreveport following an extended illness. She was a retired cook and waitress in the nutrition industry and was a Southern Baptist. Mrs. Pruitt was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lee Perdue and Dean Pruitt, and sister Betty White. She is survived by her sons, Rick Perdue and wife Jennifer of Blacksburg, VA, Mitch Perdue and wife Carol of Benton, LA; daughters, Sandra Ball and husband Larry of Lexington, KY, Judy Friday of Marion AL; sister, Lois Morrison and husband David; brother, James Johnston and wife Denise. She also survived by her grandchildren, Lauren Perdue, Nicholas Perdue, Ashley Cagle and husband Bill, Ricky Connor, Kenny Connor and wife Wendy, Jenny Kramer, Lindsay West and husband Joe, James Smith, Jon Smith, and Candace White; and her great grandchildren, Cody Gray, Evanston and Olivia Conner, Amelia, Evelyn, and Cooper Conner, Parker King, and McKenzie Lee West, Shane Clinton White, Amanda Joann White, Zoey Raylynn White, Lance L. Smith.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the charity of donor’s choice.
