

F.C. Chamberlain Jr. committed his life to the sacred trust of faith and the fulfillment of that faith became sight in his eyes as he met his Savior face to face on the evening of July 4th, 2024.
F.C. entered world on April 29th, 1934 in Jennings, LA and made his peaceful departure to the next life, at the age of 90, from his home in Haughton, LA.
F.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. F.C. and Sylvia Chamberlain Sr.; brother, Bobby Chamberlain, and sister, Meredith King.
He is survived by his wife, Becki Chamberlain; daughter, Michelle Dempsey, and husband Doyle; son, Brett Chamberlain; step-son, Jason Pounders; grandchildren, Ethan Chamberlain, Emma Chamberlain, Evan Chamberlain, Caitlin Dempsey, and Regan Dempsey.
F.C. was known for many things, but none more prominent than his faithfulness to Christ. For 27 years he served at Broadmoor Assembly of God in Shreveport as the choir and worship leader, deacon, and Sunday school teacher. For the last 27 years, Central Assembly of God in Haughton has been his church home where he served in many different areas, such as song leader, Sunday school teacher, deacon, and the Church Board of Directors. He worked in the manufactured home business as a factory representative for Skyline Mobile Homes and as a Salesman for Gregg Tilley Bossier Mobile Homes. His last place of employment prior retirement was Boone Funeral Home where he served as the crematory operator for 13 years. F.C. is a veteran of the United States Army.
A celebration of his life will be held at Central Assembly of God, 700 US Hwy 80, Haughton LA 71037 at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. Rev. Ken Richmond and Rev. Jeff Gravis officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones during a visitation at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 US Hwy 80 East, Haughton LA, 71037, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 8th, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to Central Assembly of God’s building fund.
