Frances Clinton Case of West Monroe, LA passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 87. She was born in Coushatta, LA on June 6, 1935. She was a talented businesswoman and in 1972 co-founded an insurance company that eventually became Case Agency. She worked until falling ill with West Nile Virus in 2000. She also served her community as the president of the Quota Club and the Republican Women’s Club, a member of the Woman’s Construction Club, and warden at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents Elgia C. Clinton and Pearl Stewart Clinton; sisters Anna Mae Goodson Foster, Hazel Goodson King, and Billie Clinton Holley; cousin Rosalie Jackson; niece Linda Holley; son-in-law Samuel W. Liggin Sr. and beloved husband Kenneth C. Case.
She is survived by daughter Susan Case Liggin; grandchildren Samuel W. Liggin Jr. and Catherine Liggin Becker (Daniel); great-grandchildren Kamryn Rose Liggin, Carson Gage Liggin, Emmaleigh Case Brown, Lilli Grace Becker, Nathan Curtis Becker, and Gracyn Avery Becker; nieces Sherry Holley Bendtsen (Erik), Karen Holley Friedman (Robert), Judy Johnson (Donal Wayne), Nancy King, and Connie Philmon (Jerry); nephew Joe King; and great-nieces Holley Ezernack, Jackie Bendtsen, and Katie Camille Friedman (Prakhar).
The family thanks Elara Hospice for taking care of Frances. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in West Monroe. Services will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, June 3 at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA with Father Rob Harkness officiating.
