

Services for Frank Michael Mana, 82, will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Bossier City, LA with Father Karl Daigle officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be Friday, March 6 from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary Vigil service at 7 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home led by Deacon Daniel LeMoine.
Mr. Frank Michael Mana was born August 29, 1932 in Swoyersville, PA to Frank Joseph Mana of Kingston, PA and Mary Oleyar Mana of Duryea, PA. Frank Michael Mana died in Seton Medical Center, Austin, TX on February 23, 2015 following a prolonged illness.
TSgt. Frank Mana devoted more than 20 years to the United States Air Force. With a specialty in cryptography and electronic communication his tours of duty included the Far East, Pacific and European theaters. He retired out of Barksdale A.F.B. in 1971. Frank, his wife, Verda and their four children established residency in Bossier City, LA where he resided for forty five years.
Mr. Mana was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife of 58 years, Verda Lee (Willis) Mana, who passed March 12, 2010 in Bossier City, LA. Frank’s dedication and love for his wife showed in his daily visits to her grave site. They will once again lay adjoining each other as their spirits are one in God.
Mr. Frank Michael Mana is survived by his four children: Mrs. Diana Walker of Austin, TX and her husband, Mr. Danny Walker; Mr. Michael Mana of Tampa, FL; Mrs. Debbie Martin of Atlanta, GA and her husband, Mr. Gerald Martin; and Mrs. Dana Polk of Austin, TX and her husband, Mr. Kevin Polk; eight grandchildren: Dillon Walker; Lee Martin and his wife, Amanda; Joshua Martin and his wife, Maegan; Hannah Martin, Jacob Martin, Nicholas Michael Mana, Alexander Julian Mana, Ryan Polk, and Audrey Proctor; two great grandchildren: Kylie Martin and Colton Martin; his sister, Suzanne Manna of Philadelpia, PA; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Leta Melder of Houston, TX who also provided spiritual guidance, Mrs. Ruth Childress of Pineville, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his seven grandsons Dillon Walker, Lee Martin, Joshua Martin, Jacob Martin, Nicholas Mana, Alexander Mana and Ryan Polk. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. Mana’s long time, devoted friends, Mr. Leonard Kilpatrick of Bossier City, LA and Mr. Henry Hagedorn of Bossier City, LA. Their enduring friendship and care never faltered and will always be remembered.
