Graziella Melena Anna Cohn (née Federici),aged 69, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Born on June 7, 1955, in Rocca Priora (Roma), Italia, she moved through life with a vibrant and spontaneous spirit that touched everyone she met.
Graziella's life was a testament to love and resilience. As a dedicated wife to Bruce Cohn for 49 years and a nurturing mother to daughters Kalinka Thurber (Shawn) and Tanya Daniels (Caleb), she exemplified the virtues of unconditional love and sacrifice. Her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother was cherished by Mikaela, Alaina (Jon), Gabriella (Josh), Adah, Ella, Charlie Bruce, Everett Hayes, and Karina Kerry, who will hold her memory dear. She is also survived by a loving circle of siblings: Pierino (Italia), Rosalba (Angelo), Maria Teresa (Pietro), Claudio, Giancarlo (Kristen), Doreen, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins spread across the globe. Graziella was preceded in death by her parents, Cesare Federici and Dina Gentili Federici.
Graziella's zest for life was evident through her relationships and accomplishments. She was the linchpin of Bruce’s 30 years of military service through 10 moves, countless months apart, and making sure her daughters were afforded the best opportunities. Graziella was an avid traveler, a lover of mystery novels, enjoyed walks, loved her kitties, and found joy in sharing delicious meals with her family. Her life was a journey filled with learning, exploring, and experiencing the world's diverse cultures and cuisines.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, 601 Highway 80, Haughton, LA. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick St., Bossier City, LA, at 10:00 AM.
