Heather Nicole Holly, age 36, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Born on August 11, 1989, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Heather brought light and love into the lives of all who knew her.
Heather shared a deep and unbreakable bond with her mother, Lisa Diane, who preceded her in death. Together, they created a life filled with joy, adventure, and unconditional love. Whether sitting on the patio listening to birds or traveling to Disney World, the beach, the mountains, or cities across Louisiana and Texas, Heather and her mom embraced every moment together. They were also proud members of Ainsley’s Angels, a special needs running group that allowed them to share their love for being outdoors and active.
Heather had a radiant smile that could brighten any room. Her joy was infectious—those who met her quickly realized that she was not only a child with special needs but truly a SPECIAL child. She recognized the voices of those close to her and responded in ways that made each person feel uniquely cherished. Her presence was a gift; she taught those around her how to love without condition and how to find beauty in life’s simplest pleasures.
She is survived by many loving family members who will continue to honor her memory: her father Don Holly; biological father Lyn Nelms; aunt Patricia Eaves; uncle Robert Ryan; maternal grandparents Sharon and HB Borel; paternal grandparents Claudia and Billy Nelms; aunts and uncles Stacy and Trey Allen, Amy and Ken Mangham, Richard and Aubrey Nelms, and Aunt Rene; as well as numerous cousins who held Heather close to their hearts.
Heather was predeceased by her beloved mother Lisa Diane; grandfather William James Ryan Jr.; and cousin Sondra Eaves.
Special friends: Melinda and children Dixie and Waylon, Krystal Pearce
