Jack R. Lockard, age 78, died June 2, 2013. Memorial service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., Fr. Charles Glorioso will officiate. Mr. Lockard is survived by his wife, Lona Rowe Lockard and three children, son Chris Lockard, wife Ryan Lockard of Allen TX, daughters Meshel L. Petty, husband Kennith R. Petty of Alvarado TX, and Rhonda Rene’ Barber of Plano TX; brother, Kenneth G. Lockard of Boynton Beach, FL.
Jack was born in Quincy, IL on December 25, 1934, moved to Dallas TX in 1968. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Mildred K (Fossel) and Jack O. Lockard, sister Joyce Lee Frushour, and brother Marvin Lockard. He served in the Army during the Korean War, was a Board Certified Forensic Accountant, and retired from Campbell Taggart Inc. a Division of Anheuser Busch Corporation. Jack was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church he served on the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Posse, was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed life and brought joy to others with a sincere interest in their well-being. Jack will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Connie and Richard Hadden, Anthony Stuart MD, and Life Care Staff for many months of loving care. Also sincere thanks for prayers, and support from the members of First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport.
