

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cooper Williams Waggoner and May Bell Smith Dougherty; wife, Rebecca Ann Thomas Waggoner; brothers, Bobbie Williams Waggoner, Thomas Walter “Buddy” Waggoner Sr., and Joe Murphy Waggoner Sr.; sister, Mary Elizabeth Waggoner David, his grandson Colton Michael Garrett Stacy and nephew Kevin Loy Smith.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are son Curtis Lee Waggoner and wife Kena; his daughter Deidra Ann Stacy and husband Michael; his son Thomas Cooper Waggoner and wife Dorrie; his brother Jerry Waggoner and wife Debbie; his brother Kenneth Douglas Waggoner and wife Ramona; his grandchildren Elizabeth Marie Reeme and her husband Colby, Drew William Doss Waggoner and his wife BriAnna, Dylan Cooper Waggoner and his wife Grace, Matthew Thomas Waggoner and Autumn Brooke Stacy; his great grandchildren Henry David Waggoner, Bentley Scott Freeland, Nicholas Doss Waggoner and on his way Aaron Cooper Waggoner; sister in law Sharon Smith and husband Mike, sister in law Debbie Flowers, brother in law Ronnie Thomas, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jackie was born August 28, 1937, at Fort McPherson, in Atlanta, Fulton County, GA. He graduated from Bossier High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Ann Thomas, on December 23, 1960. They enjoyed 62 years together.
Jackie worked for Getter’s Tree Surgery Company for several years, then was employed at Grecian Marble Manufacturing Company before moving on to work for Randy Wright Construction Company and finally at Holy Angels where he worked with his brother Buddy before retiring.
Family was very important to Jackie. He was so proud of his three children and all their accomplishments. He supported all his grandchildren in their activities. He loved spending time with family and friends at Lake Greeson over the past 65 years. Many memories are wrapped up in our time with him there. He collected BB Guns over the years and amassed an extensive collection. He loved antiques and antique cars, often attending antique car shows. He was proud of his 1954 Chevy pickup and liked to drive it around town. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Bossier but was attending First Baptist Church in Haughton.
