Jacob Andrew Schmidt

A Celebration of Life for Jacob Andrew Schmidt, 87, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Scott Adams officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Hill Crest from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2010.

Jacob was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Downtown Shreveport Lions Club, and Palmetto Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. He was employed at Willis Knighton Health Systems where he was a Corporate Director of Materials Management for many Years.

Mr. Schmidt is preceded in death by his wife Veola Schmidt. He is survived by his; sisters, Dorothy Burnett and Pauline Sternhagen, brother, Julius Schmidt and wife Linda, sons, James R. Schmidt and wife Claudene and John R. Schmidt and wife Judy, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Live Oak Retirement Community.
