Funeral services for Jacquiline “Jackie” Ann (Clark) Young, 85, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Red River Baptist Church in Benton, LA with Brother Richard Beeman officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lay Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton.
Mrs. Young was born March 23, 1936, in Shreveport, and passed away March 14, 2022, in Bossier City. She was a member of Red River Baptist Church and was known to many as a loving Mama and Mamaw. Jackie worked for many years as a bus driver for Bossier Parish School Board, where she drove for Rusheon Junior High, Bossier High School, and a short while at Benton. Jackie enjoyed many years of producing beautiful quilts, all kinds of sewing, and many other craft hobbies.
Jackie is survived by her four children, Dennis Young, and wife Kathy; Patty Thames; Tommy Young, Sr.; Linda Nuehring and husband Jim; sister-in-law, Eloise James, and husband Bill; Daughter #3, Lois Ford and husband Wayne; nine grandchildren; Jason (Abby) Young, Adam (Mandi) Young, Karen (Clayton) Harvey, Buck Thames, Robert (Danielle) Thames, Ashley Young, T.J. (Cristy) Young, Jasper Nuehring and Robyn Nuehring; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Young Jr., brother-in-law Ray Young, and son-in-law Donald Thames Sr.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Young, Adam Young, T.J. Young, Jr., Buck Thames, Robert Thames, Jasper Nuehring, and honorary pallbearer Clayton Harvey.
