James Odus Fox, age 76, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021. JAMES was born August 11, 1945, in Winnfield, Louisiana to the proud parents Lillian Irene Fox and Odus Fox. James was the youngest of their five children and had two brothers and two sisters.
James grew up in Bossier City and graduated from Bossier High School. Eventually settling in Bossier City upon completing Business College and pursuing a career in Retail Management. James worked for Woolco, TG&Y, Gibson, and Howard Brothers. James enjoyed creating displays for merchandise and dedicated years of service managing K&B Drugstores.
James was a big fan of history and loved relaxing and watching the old ‘Westerns’. He also could pick a tune and enjoyed playing his guitar and hanging out with friends and family.
Mr. Fox was preceded in death by: his father, Odus Fox; his mother, Lillian Irene Fox; son, Jeremy Fox, brother, Julius Ray Fox; and two sisters, Janie Hayes and Joy McGillivary.
Those left to cherish his memory are: sons, James Anthony Fox and Joseph Fox; brother, AJ Kennedy; and grandkids, Spencer Fox, Sydney Fox, Jason Fox, Madison Fox, and Justin Fox.
Services in his honor will begin with a Visitation, between 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the Funeral at 2:00 PM, with Steve Casey presiding. Each taking place on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial, Haughton, Louisiana. Interment will be within the Hill Crest Memorial Park.
He will be greatly missed.
