I met Scott early in his career and our paths crossed many times over the years and ultimately I ended up working for him and with him in engineering. He always had a smile on his face and was open to help anyone no matter if “it was not his job”. I highly respected him and considered him a close friend and enjoyed working with him. He will greatly missed by everyone. Truly one of the good guys.

We are so grateful for the life of “Uncle Scotty”. He was humble, kind, hard-working, faithful and a family man. When you got a hug from Scotty ... you knew you had been hugged. The welcoming hug and a warm smile made you feel seen and loved. So many great memories on the land in Summerfield will forever be in our memories. We are so grateful for the years together. We are praying for each of you as you walk out these next days- praying for God’s peace and help in this heartbreaking time. We love you guys!

I have known Scotty ,since he was a baby and loved him ever since .Scotty was a true loving person. Never saw him when he wasn’t smiling and happy.I will miss him so much, Holiday Dinners, hunting season and so many unexpected visits. Scotty will always be special in my heart.

It breaks my heart to think that Scotty is no longer with us. We are first cousins but I have always considered him one of my best friends. We played at Papaws in the hay barn and cow trailer and at the catfish pond and Ticky Springs. We enjoyed squirrel hunting together with our dads. We registered at Tech together each quarter and Aunt Jean's was my home away from home in Ruston. We spent countless Saturdays on Lake Claiborne with my now husband, Jerry, a bag of doritos, a bag of oreos, a 2L Coke, Dr. Pepper and TAB and, of course, Scotty's tool box because the old VIP struggled sometimes. We both married the loves of our lives and beat cancer together. We still spent nearly every holiday together with family in Summerfield. Oh, how I loved him and will miss him so.
