

His life will be celebrated with a mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church officiated by Msgr. Earl V. Provenza , where he was an active member.
The church is located at 315 Marshal Street, Shreveport, LA. The Memorial mass is on Saturday, August 26th, 2017, with visitation from 12 to 1pm at the Church, mass will be at 1pm followed with Miltary Honors. His remains will be laid to rest at Hill Crest Cemetery in Haughton after the mass.
He was born to Rashed and Cecile Sangid on June 30th, 1938. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1962. He was the founder of the Red River Street Rod Association in 1972 and a member of NSRA. As a Master Watchmaker he was also a member of NAWCC since 1976. He loved collecting just about anything and had a passion for preserving history.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Katie Sangid, sons Richard and Michael, one sister Patricia, one sister-in-law Lee, three grandchildren Angela, Derrick and Emily. Three great grandsons Brandon, Chaz and Tyler, also expected to arrive late October the first great granddaughter Eva Marie, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Also a special thanks to Ed, Diane, Angeles, Mike, Hanna, Lyle, Amy and Holly as his caregivers.
