

Celebration of Life service will be held for Janice L. Tolbert on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Dr. Brad Jurkovich of First Baptist Church Bossier, will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Park. Visitation will be on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tolbert went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, November 20, 2014. She was a member of Waller Baptist Church, during Dr. Cliff Estees Ministry. The sermons of Dr. Brad Jurkovich were an encouragement, as her health declined. Mrs. Tolbert was born May 10, 1927, in Oak Grove, LA., only child to Emmie and Seaby Coleman.
She spent her life as an Air Force wife, traveling the world and raising 4 children, alongside her husband and true love 65 years, Percy.
An avid quilter, painter and gardener, recently, Mrs. Tolbert enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Kristen, great grandson Gus, and caring for “Mr. BO” and “Angel”. She watched football, golf and Fox news with her son-in-law Phillip. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Tolbert, her beloved son, Jack Tolbert, and also on the morning of November 20, 2014, her son-in-law, Ken Skinner.
Mrs. Tolbert is survived by children, Judy Skinner, Pam Smith and husband Phillip, all of Bossier City, LA., Annette Tolbert, daughter-in-law, of Shreveport, LA., daughter Donna Holland and husband Willie. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
