Funeral services for Jean Gilbert, 99, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with her son Rev. James Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Jean entered into rest October 6, 2010 in Princeton. She was a member of Cowboy Outreach and Arena of Life Ministries in Princeton, and a resident of Bossier Parish since 1940.
She was preceded in death by her husband J. Ben Gilbert.
Survivors include her three sons, Jack Gilbert and wife Colleen, James Gilbert and wife Kay; Rickey Gilbert and wife Anita; sister, Anna Bowden; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
