Jerline Mathews

Services will be held to celebrate the life of Jerline "Jeri" Mathews at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Jim Gstohl officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 am until service time.

Jerline was born in Zwolle, LA on June 7, 1940 and passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 in Bossier City, LA. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and bowling. She loved to spend time with her family most of all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Mary Elizabeth Hawkins; brother, Willis Hawkins; nephew, Tommy Hawkins; niece, Deborah Evans and sister-in-law, Catherine Hawkins.

Jerline is survived by her husband of 62 years, John "Matt" Mathews; daughters, Ann San Angelo and husband Joseph, and Shelly Landry and husband Michael; son, Ron Mathews and wife Lorri; sister, Maxine Dollar; grandchildren, DeAnna Franklin and husband Wayne, Michael San Angelo, Sarah San Angelo, Stacy San Angelo, Stephen Landry and wife Christine, Rachel Johnson and husband Scott, Katlyn Mathews, Susan Woods and husband Clint, Drew Wiltcher and Shari Choate and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Dixie Vosbury, Devon Vosbury, Raychel Johnson, Darryll, Skyler, Peytynn and Morgyn Choate, Lincoln Woods, Sydney Wiltcher and great granddaughter, Johnson (due in December).

Pallbearers will be Sammy San Angelo, Michael San Angelo, Stephen Landry, Scott Johnson, Wayne Franklin and Devon Vosbury. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Landry.
