Graveside services will be held for Jimmie Wheeler on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 1:00 at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Rev. Billy Pierce will be officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Haughton, LA.
Mrs. Wheeler was born on December 10, 1938 in Chestnut, LA and entered into rest on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. She retired from Bossier Parish School Board after 20 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mildred Johnson and brother, Jackie Johnson.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her husband, Charles “Don” Wheeler; son, Wayne Harrison (Jammie); daughters, Sherry Dejong (Marlon), Karen Masters; step-daughters, Deborah Moradel (Rene’) and Donna Burns (Matt). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
