JoAnn Caldwell Gray was born Saturday, October 5, 1946, to Bertie and Emanuel Caldwell near Sarepta, Louisiana. She was big sister to, two sisters and one brother. After dating her High School sweetheart for three years, she and Walter Williamson Gray were married March 27, 1965, in Cotton Valley where she graduated High School that same year.
She went on to be a mother of three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a caring, sharing, funny, and loving person who enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and attending First Baptist Church of Sibley, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 56 years, Walter Williamson Gray; her mother, Bertie Everage Caldwell; and her father Emanuel Caldwell.
Left to carry on her memory and legacy are her children Debra Smith, Sandra Jarrell and husband Jeff and David Gray. Grandchildren Dustin, Elizabeth, and Leslee Smith, Sarah, Ashley Sweeney and Dallas Wall and as well as six great-grandchildren.
Her giggles, hugs and kisses will be greatly missed by all.
