Joe Harold Elgin

Joe Harold Elgin, of Haughton, Louisiana passed away May 8, 2022. He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on June 22, 1931. Joe graduated from Warren Easton, New Orleans and attended University Southern Louisiana and Louisiana State University. He was married to Jean Marie Henderson on July 12, 1952. Joe had a career as a Mechanic for Halliburton and had a passion for church youth. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Jean Marie Henderson Elgin; daughter Jenalee Elgin; sons, Jim Elgin and wife Markay, and Jerry Elgin and wife Linda; grandchildren, Michael Adams, Amy Diefenderfer and husband Ben, Emily Elgin and fiance' Blake Duggar, Ashton Ballard and fiance' Zach Cambre, Logan Ballard and wife Amanda, AnnMarie Elgin and fiancé Mason Seelinger, Andy and Chelsea Elgin, Austin Elgin and wife Mary Claire; and great-grandchildren, Allan, Wyatt, Candace, Emma, Athena, Luke, Rylee, Haylee, Layla, Hope, Susannah, Levi and baby boy on the way. Services for Joe will be held Thursday May 12, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00am - 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
