

John Reginald Crawford Abdo, age 84, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed from this life peacefully, on May 1, 2026. John was born on August 11, 1941, to Gus Abdo and Alice Saccar Abdo of Houston, Texas.
He graduated from Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. He went on to work for Shell Oil company for many years until he retired. He then went to work for JC Penny in the retail department as a salesclerk in the men’s department. John loved what he did and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.
He never met a stranger, if you saw him coming, he always had a smile on his face and wanted to know “How are you”. If you didn’t see him, you can hear him by the click, click of his cane. He was a faithful servant of God.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, baking and BBQing. His favorite hobby was fishing and anything to do with it. If you needed to know how to fish or go fishing, he was your guy.
John is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Abdo. He is survived by his only daughter, Karen Moore and husband Lynn; 2 grandchildren, Whitney Moore and Justin Moore and wife Ava; and 4 great-grandchildren, Cara and Colten Harrison, Aurora and Hunter Moore and many nieces and nephews.
Family would like to give a special thanks to some lifelong friends: Ed Arrington family, Mike Evans family, Jeff Slocum Family, Casper family.
Funeral services will be held at Kingston UPC, 8951 Kingston Road in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 12 pm with a service to follow at 1 pm.
Officiating will be Rev. Damon Magee and Rev. Bill O'Connell.
