

John Clinton Bearden was born Oct. 7, 1953 in Magnolia, Arkansas to parents Opal Zurlene (Dodson) and John Algon Bearden and passed away at his residence in Plain Dealing, LA Oct. 9, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Services will be held at a later date in Bussey, Arkansas.
Clint (also known as “Pops” to children) was a retired machinist and loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Lois and Julie Dodson, and his nephew Jason “Tonka” Bearden. He is survived by his two sons, Rolen Bearden and wife Tanya, Jessie Bearden and wife Jessica, grandchildren, Reed, Alexis, and Memphis Bearden. Clint is also survived by his brother, Donnie Bearden and wife Patricia, and nephew Russell “Runt” Bearden, and great nephew Wyatt Bearden.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the love and care extended by Dr. G.G.M. and his team at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Dr. Feagin and her team at W/K Oncology.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Unity United Methodist Church located at 9660 Hwy 371 in Taylor, AR.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to John Clinton Bearden’s donation account at Farmers Bank & Trust in Springhill, LA or Magnolia, AR.
