WASKOM, TX – A Graveside Service for J.D. Richardson, 59, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Pastor Rich McGahan officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Hill Crest.
J.D.’s hobbies included, but were not limited to, an avid fisherman, being outside, loved the water, all sports especially football and basketball. He could also play a mean game of pool and throw down some horseshoes. He loved his dogs without fail and took his oldest grandchildren to school every morning. He had a passion for fixing cars and doing any kind of handy man projects with his sons. J.D. gardened with his wife paying special attention to their roses each year. Of course, he could grill any food you challenged him with and made a feast of it. He absolutely loved and cherished his younger grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was an honest man who loved the Lord and valued family and hard work above all else.
He is preceded in death by his mother Nannie Moore, sister Janice Moore, son-in-law Jeremy Lance Cole and mother-in-law Marion Simpson.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Donna Richardson, daughter Chasity Cole Haden and husband Gregory Haden, son Jonathan Richardson and wife Brandi Richardson, son Jason Richardson and wife Courtney Richardson, and youngest daughter Jeannie Nichols and husband Brandon Nichols, grandchildren Jonas Richardson, Joshua Cole, Olivia Cole, Michael Aiden Larson, Gibson Gage Nichols, Jackson Richardson, Carter Richardson and Grant Richardson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Eugene Williams, Toby Williams, Brandon Nichols, Gregory Haden, Justin Lott, Utroy Webster, James Ray Dick and Troy Ceaser.
From the family:
