Joseph E. Welch

A graveside service for Joseph E. Welch will be held at Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Martin Ferguson will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Joseph was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, LA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, aviation and especially spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred and daughter Sharon.

He is survived by daughters; Joanne Daniels and her husband Richard of Minden, LA, Millie Smith of Poland, ME, Connie Morgan and her husband Jack of Minden, LA, Sheila Welch of Minden, LA, Allison Elliott and her husband Ron of Keller, TX and Vicki Welch of Longview, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Angel Lee and husband Greg, April Linebarger, Sara Carnley and husband James, Samuel Weems, Emily Love and husband G.W, Riley Griffin, Jennifer Brackett and husband Jason, Tyler Welch and eight great grandchildren with whom he made countless memories. Brothers, William T. Welch and wife Shirley, Earl Welch and wife Shirley and sister, Leona Eubanks also survive him.

Pallbearers will be Adam Welch, John Welch, James R. Dick Tinsley, Sam Ferguson, Josh Ferguson and Toby Wilemon. Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Daniels, Casey Green, Gunnar Linebarger, and Gavin Green.
