     It's Christmas Time...I know you are with me...but I miss you !!!!! I will miss are shopping trips on Christmas Eve hurrying to find the perfect gifts through all the crowds, laughing, having lots of joy just being together!!!

 I am sitting here and can't stop thinking about you so I thought I would send you a note. I miss you so much! I thought it was suppose to get easier with time but it must take a LONG time because it isn't easier and you have been gone 9 months now. So many things have changed since you have been gone...some good, some not good at all. I tried to make things right but it didn't help so I am going on with my life and I can't worry about the things that have happened in the past. Like you always said..."We can't live in the past...we have to live for the future". I am doing that now and it has to get better! I go to the cemetery when I feel I need to and that helps some. I can live with myself better because I know I did what I could for you while you were here on earth. I only wish I could have had the power to make you well and keep you here with us but God needed another Angel and I know you are just that so I know you are safe in his arms. I love and miss you so much!

 It has been 4 months since you have been gone...time is flying by too fast! It is so hard every time I think about you being gone. I really miss you so much! Everything is about the same here with us...not much has changed...but I just go on and try not to dwell on it too much! I would love to hear your voice again! I still open my blinds every morning looking down the street expecting to see you. I am not sure if that will ever stop but that is okay because you are one of the first things I think about everyday and that helps me make it through my day. I love and miss you so much!

Mama,We have made it through three hard dates this month.I used my inner strength to keep going.On your birthday I kept thinking of the party we had at Red Lobster 2 years ago with all of us together and I looked at the pictures of it.It seems like a lifetime ago now.I hope you could hear Michael talking to you and telling you Happy Birthday.I let him listen to a voice mail I have on my phone of your voice. He thought it was really you. Talking to us from heaven. He said "Grammy, I did not know grandmama had her cell phone in heaven! I started laughing so hard tears were running down my face.I said honey I think we all wish she could have her cell phone in heaven,including Grandmama.Your grandkids will miss you always.I missed your smile and excitement you always had. Moma, It has been 3 months today since you left and it is still hard to believe you are gone. Mother's Day was so hard knowing that I couldn't pick up the phone and call you and wish you Happy Mother's Day or go to your house and see you. I miss you so much! I thought it would get easier but it hasn't and I don't know if it ever will. I think about you all the time. I do go to the cemetery quite often and talk to you and that helps some. I know Jeanne and Carol Lynn are having a hard time dealing with it also. Prissy is coming down to see us in a couple of weeks...I am so glad of that! I know you are okay in Heaven and you are with Daddy. You are always in my heart and will be forever and ever. I love and miss you so much!

Moma,  I miss you more and more every minute.I miss your phone calls,stopping in after taking Cole to school and having coffee,looking for your car to drive into Shoneys,watching Two and a half Men, Frasier, and you telling me about Young and the Restless even though I haven't watched it in years.I miss all my friends and co-workers telling me how good you looked because you always dressed nice,hair always pretty and blonde.Thank you for teaching me to have strength and courage to make it through all of my hard times,for taking me and my family in when we were in need especially after the 4-3-99 tornado.Thank you for not giving up in 1985 so Mark,Daniel,& Cole could have their Grandmoma in their lives,we all know how blessed we are for having you.I'm so happy that we went to Tyler in July...I know how happy you were to see Aunt "Burn",Uncle Harley,Aunt Bertha Faye,Aunt Oleta & Niece Shirley, and you said we had "lil" Eric and "lil" Big Rex with us cause they acted so much like their Dads. You have been in Heaven for a month now, and I miss you so much.  I know that you are with Papa and that you are not suffering anymore, but I still look down the street every day and expect to see your car parked outside.  I already miss hearing all your funny stories, even the ones you told a hundred times, and I look forward to hearing them all again someday.  I will forever cherish all the wonderful memories I have, especially the ones of you and Mom watching me walk to your house so we could play games and stay up much later than we were supposed to!  Don't let your dominoes-playing skills get too rusty; someday, we will play again! Moma,  Well its the  13th of March, tomorrow it will be amonth since you went to meet daddy, I hope you two are loving each other as much as ya'll loved each other  in real life. We all miss you moma, it is so hard sometimes my heart wants to just explode of sadness. But I know you would tell me Jeanne you are going to make your self sicker please calm down.So I will. Oh yeah I go to see my Docter Jackson so he can make  sure I'm okay to start getting my teeth pulled Tuesday. He knows I'm real upset over losing you.   It will be a month tomorrow since you left us and it isn't getting much better. I miss you so much! Everyone keeps saying that time will heal but so far I really don't see that happening. I guess once everything gets settled and they move your mobile home out, it might be a little better on me. I open my windows every morning and I look down the street like I have done for years and I expect to see you either getting your newspaper or doing something to your car or talking to your neighbor. That is so hard knowing that I won't see you doing any of that again. I also miss our talks on my front porch. I guess you are having some long talks with Daddy now. I know you are enjoying that because you missed him so much.

  I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I hope all of you are holding up OK through this. It is so hard to lose your parents but it is something most of us have to face. I am so sorry about your loss. It is so hard when we lose someone that we love so dearly. There will never be anyone that will ever take the place of your mother's love. I miss my mother so much that it hurts. It feels like I can just pick up the phone and call her, but I can't. There is so much that I would love to tell her. I would like to think that my mother, having passed years earlier, greeted your mother as she passed from this life to her heavenly home. My prayers are with all of you as you go through life without your beautiful mother. She was a very lovely person who treated everyone with the respect that they deserved. I will always remember the love she had for her family. Family was always first with her as it should be. She touched many hearts and will never be forgotten.

Grandmama, I don't think the bond that we shared together will ever be replaced. The memories and knowledge i gained from just living with you was worth its weight in gold. No one can ever take that away from me. I miss going to the store for you, picking up your medicine, getting you a pizza every now and then, and how you would always have the sports page waiting for me on the kitchen table to read. I'll never forget the night i was in 
Baton Rouge and i called you at 11:30pm and i asked you, "Grandmama, do you think Papa is proud of me for going to college?" and you said "Of course, Mark ...Papa is always gonna be proud of you and i'm proud of you too." The fact that you were almost asleep that night but still took the time to have an hour conversation with your grandson almost 4 hours away meant the world to me, especially since you knew i needed a friend that night. You were my mentor, my friend, and a person that i admired with the utmost respect. Just knowing that some of your qualities and traits will live on in me and other members of the family puts my heart at ease and a smile on my face. Grandmama, you are deeply missed. I Love You. Try as I might, as I sit here staring at my computer screen, I can't seem to find the 'right' words that would do you justice.  There are too many.  I want to thank you for listening to me vent about my mom and being there for Pam and I as the 3 of us would occasionally stroll down memory lane.  Oh, what stories you would tell as your eyes would light up!!!  I am truly going to miss you Momma Whitten and will always cherish all the times you introduced me to people as your 'other daughter'.
