Judy was a faithful member of Westlake Baptist Church and volunteered her time with the "Willing Workers" group. Judy was a prayer warrior and devoted Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bates; daughter, Brandy Bates and parents, Owen and Alice (Brown) Oglesby.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Cheyenne Brittany Shelton and husband Phillip; brother, Eugene Acly and wife Wanda; brother-in-law, Allen Bates and wife Cynthia; and bonus grandchildren, Ariel, Brianne, Savannah and Austin.
The family would like to thank Westlake Baptist Church for their prayers and visits and Willis Knighton Bossier for their kindness and care.
Services will be held at Westlake Baptist Church, 2587 LA-163, Doyline, LA 71023 on Saturday, May 24th at 10 AM.
