June Pomber

June Pomber, being comforted by her immediate family, passed away on May 28, 2011 after a courageous

twenty-two year battle with cancer.

June was born on 15 October 1932 in London, England. As a young girl, she lived through the bombing of

London during WWII and several years later married in London. In 1958, they returned to the USA

where she gave birth to their daughter Danielle in Michigan in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her mother Violet Maude Ellis and her father Ernest Thomas Ellis who both

resided in London, England. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Richard Pomber, her brother

Victor Ellis and wife Joyce, her daughter Danielle Rae Pomber, her granddaughter Paige Nicole Pomber and

her grandson Hunter Leigh Nichols. She also has many close relatives and friends in both England and in the USA.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and other personnel of WK Bossier, WK Pierremont,

WK Cancer Clinic, Home Help and St. Joseph’s Hospice for their kind loving care.

A memorial will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home located

at 601 Highway 80,Haughton,La. 71037. Officiating will be Jeff Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church.
