Karen R. Peddy Poe

Services will be conducted for Karen R. Peddy Poe. age 42, in the chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill Pickard. Interment will follow in Hill crest Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

She entered into rest on May 25, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer.Karen had a young spirit and enjoyed life. She was an outgoing friendly person who never met a stranger.

Karen was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Bessie Beene; grandmother, Claudine Ellis and father , Walter J. Peddy. She is survived by her mother, Linda Peddy; her loving husband, Tim Poe; daughter, Ashley Poe; sons, Chris Matlock, Garrett Poe; sisters, Sheila Jones, Missy Ware and husband Michael ; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends including special friends, Brenda, Cheryl and Connie.

Pallbearers will be Glen Sims, Duane Jones, James Haynes, Craig Cherry , Grant Cherry and Danny Raines.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at LSU Feist-Weller Cancer Center for all of their care and support.
