Katherine Evans, age 76, of Haughton, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Katherine was born September 11, 1948, in Oswego, New York to John Francis Phillips and Helen (Kruppa) Phillips Reidy.
After many years of owning a hair salon and working as a professional hairstylist, Katherine retired. She had a tradition of waiting up for Santa Claus each year and enjoying her morning coffee on the porch.
Katherine is survived by her son Richard F. Watters, Jr.; stepson, Jack E. Evans, Jr.; daughter, Tamora L.W. Dollar (James Timothy); brother, Jack Phillips (Judi); granddaughter, Alyssa C. Dollar; niece, Taylor Phillips Vitron (Mike); nephew, John Phillips and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren from both Taylor, Mike and her stepson Jack E. Evans, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Evans, Sr.; parents, John Francis Phillips and Helen (Kruppa) Phillips Reidy and sisters, Sharon Phillips Topley (Glen) and Sandra J. Shonitsky.
