Katie Leann Cammack, age 34, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in Haughton, Louisiana. Katie was born November 28, 1991 (Thanksgiving Day), in Minden, Louisiana to Wayne Howard Cammack, Jr. and Tammy Lynn Cammack.
Katie attended Haughton High School and later graduated from Northwest Louisiana Technical College. Of all the jobs she held, her favorite was being a barista. She loved her co-workers dearly and treasured the countless customers who became more like friends and who loved her right back. It was a job that brought her joy, connection, and so many special memories.
Katie was a beloved daughter and a devoted mother who loved her son, Parker, with all her heart. She was a beautiful soul who loved deeply and fiercely. Her family was precious to her, and she treasured every moment she shared with them.
Katie had a special compassion for those who were hurting, felt broken, or simply forgotten. She had a gift for seeing people who needed a little extra love and making them feel seen, valued, and cared for. She was always the encourager—quick with a kind word, a sincere compliment, or a simple gesture that could make someone’s day a little brighter. Making others feel good about themselves came naturally to Katie.
She was, without a doubt, a Daddy’s girl, but she also needed her Mama on 24/7 call. Her bond with both of her parents was deeply special and a reflection of the love she carried for her family. Katie gave her whole heart to the people she loved, and those who were fortunate enough to know her will forever carry a piece of that beautiful heart with them.
Katie loved her family and friends fiercely, but she loved her Jesus most. She would say “He is trying to get you to SEE.” She knew who to call on when times were hard and she wanted her mama praying. She knew her peace came from Jesus.
Katie is survived by her son, Parker Wayne Canton; father, Wayne Cammack; mother, Tammy Cammack; sister, Leah Walker (Steven); brother, Colton Cammack (Allie); grandmothers, Clydia Lawson and Ann Cammack; nieces, Seaira, Avery, and Paisley; nephews, Axel and John along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Tommy Lawson and Wayne Cammack.
She was lovingly carrying her unborn child, Princeton, and they left this world together, leaving behind a love and loss that words cannot fully express.
1 Peter 4:8 "But above all things have fervent love towards each other: for love will conceal a multitude of faults."
A visitation for Katie will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Central Assembly of God, 700 US-80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. Following visitation, a service will be held at 11:00 AM at the same location, Central Assembly of God. A private graveside for the family will be at 2:30 PM at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Joaquin, Texas.
