I can't believe it's been five years since you haven't been here with us and I miss you. What I would do just to have to spend a day with again. I loved when me, you, and Bladen would play together at the kitchen  table you would act like your hand was a spider and we would smack it ti kill. I miss you I will see you in a while.

I will always cherish the nights we sat and talked and how you always helped keep me grounded when I needed it the most. I miss being able to talk to you. I miss hearing your voice. I miss the road trips..... I miss you dad and I love you. 

Love you and i will all ways think of the times that we shot the bow u gave me and the time we cook to gather and want places and pulled tricks on each other miss you and hopefully i see in a while.

I've known my cousin Kenneth E. Jacques since he was a toddler. Being close in age we gravitated to each other at family reunions. We called him Cowboy. For a season we lived under the same roof at Granny's. As kids I remember a time Ken and I were playing cowboys. He extended his cap pistol to me and said, It's only a fake gun but it pops good! Yeah, mine is too! I replied, and then we both chuckled.

There were many seasons between seeing each other, some with many years in between, but whenever we did connect we took right up where we had left off. It was always like that. Life has a way of separating you from having more time with those you love but neither life, nor death, can separate you from the love. I am so grateful to God we had the whole day, July 3rd, 2016, to spend together. 

At the end of that day, around 10 pm, I realized I had spent more time with Ken than I had with any other of the thirty family members: wife, mother, dad, brothers, sister, son and daughter included.
Back home I wondered if I should have spent less time with Ken? Now I'm glad I didn't. 

We even spent time together looking over the engine of my old truck. It had stalled a few times on my trip down. Ken wanted to see if he could be helpful that was Ken. I wasn't aware of it, and maybe he wasn't either, but he had laid his new phone by the engine block, and so, after he had closed the hood it took him a while to locate it that was also Ken. 

His phone escaped damage and, boy, were we relieved! He extended it to me and said, It's only a fifty dollar phone but it picks up good! Yeah, mine is too! I replied. And then at that moment we chuckled together remembering.

Carol, Glen, Barbara, and especially Mrs. Jacques, words can't express the sorrow I feel for your family.  I'm sorry I was out of town and did not know until after the funeral of your loss.  Your family has always meant a lot to me and I would have loved to have been able to have been there for you.  Please know my prayers are with each of you.  At times like this, I find comfort with my best and dearest friend, Jesus.  No other arms can reach around so many at one time and bear the hurt and grief you are experiencing right now and weeks to come but it will get better if you rely on Him!  May God bless each of you and provide you with the love and comfort no one else can.  Love to all!

Words of comfort for all that loved you are so hard to come by right now. You will be missed by many! I will never forget your smile Kenneth!

Kenneth was my wife's ex husband but he was still my friend. Kenneth and I fished together. Rest in peace my brother, I will truly miss you.

Glenn and Carol, I am so very sorry for your loss.  My prayers are with you all, especially your mother, during this very sad time.
