

SAREPTA, LA – Services for Kenneth Kelly will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Marty Wright officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born on April 23, 1939 to Bracie and Johnnie Mae Kelly in Harrisville, MS. and passed away April 21, 2013 at his home in Sarepta following a long battle with cancer. He graduated from Anguilla High School in Anguilla, MS and earned a position with two other baseball team mates with the Cincinnati Redlegs. Kenneth turned down this opportunity and joined the U. S. Air Force where he served faithfully for over twenty years before retiring. He had many interests including gardening, hunting, and BASS fishing. Kenneth was also an avid bowler and manager of Holiday Lanes in Bossier City for twenty years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bracie and is survived by his mother Johnnie Mae, wife Cupid (Farmer) Kelly, daughters Jerri Mixon and husband Kevin of Sarepta, Gaye Given and husband Clark of Haughton and Tammie Mounger and husband Joe of Doyline, son Wayne Rutledge of Shongaloo, sisters Joan Dear and husband Bob and Billie Sullivan all of Crystal Springs, MS, brothers Richard Kelly and Thomas Kelly of Rolling Fork, MS, grandchildren Jearmy Durden, Danielle Durden, Corey McElwee, Alex McElwee, Brittanie Green, and Dustin Green as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
