Kenneth W. "Fred" Rooks

Funeral services for Kenneth W. “Fred” Rooks, 50, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ken Collier, associate pastor of Eastwood Baptist Church officiating, with a Eulogy to be given by

Gerry Ferguson. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born December 11, 1961 in Shreveport, LA, and entered into rest December 11, 2011 in Haughton, LA. Ken was employed with Performance Wellhead & Frac Components in Kilgore, TX; and held the position of “Director of Training and Quality Management.

Ken is such an “all around” wonderful man. He is the best husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Ken loves his family and friends immensely – If you need anything – he gave it to you-If you were having a bad day- He cheered you up. He was so comical without knowing it. There is not a single word to describe who Ken is. He is so many things, to so many people.

Our hearts are completely shattered from his loss, but just knowing him and having him in our lives made us all better people.

Ken you are deeply loved by many and we will never forget you or the impact you have had in our lives.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Rooks; and daughter, Crystal Rooks.

Survivors include his soulmate and wife, Tobie Rooks; father, Wiley Rooks; five children, Corde Rooks, Amanda Morrison, Brian Bray, Adam Pourteau, Tyler Pourteau; brother Rodney Rooks and wife Stephanie;“His Girls” Mother-in-Law, Hilda Williams and her sister, Gay Brown; brother, brother-in-law, Nick Williams and wife Cindy, five precious grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Adams, Sam Phillips, Chad Ledbetter, Todd Meyers, Eddie Higdon, and Dale Spoor.
